My favorite hike was one I did this summer for my birthday! Thank you all for supporting this community and our collective passion to get people outside and exploring nature! Along the way, you’ll have a few river crossings, pass through a boulder field,  old-growth forest, and eventually an incredibly scenic alpine lake at the top! It’s known for it’s spectacular views of the surrounding mountains! The, A step down from the legendary Mount Si, Little Si still offers extraordinary views on a trek that's just under 5 miles. Granted, I haven’t done even a quarter of the trails in Oregon, but that one was the closest I’ve been to a mountain thus far and was easy enough to do that I didn’t need any intense gear. One of my very first hikes when I was just visiting Seattle, was SNOW LAKE. This trail is about 4.7 miles long, has 900 feet of elevation gain, and takes about 2.5 hours to complete. The trail consists of plenty of rocky switchbacks, exposed roots on the trail, and unimpressive trail markers (aka, don’t go down the wrong path or you’ll get lost!). Sol Duc Falls is one of the most popular Washington hiking trails in Olympic National Park. This very short, 1.5-mile round trip hike will wow you with its dense forest, sweeping ocean vistas, and beautiful boardwalks. The skyline trail in Nova Scotia Canada is a fun easy hike with breathtaking views. Be sure to hold your mini-adventure seeker’s hand while crossing the Nisqually River on a log footbridge. This hike, to Snowgrass Flats, then on to Cispus Basin and on to the Nannie Ridge Trail, is a 19.6 miles (31.5 km) long round-trip. A clear trail through the forest and a steep hike down to the cove will require some agility, but most people can accomplish this hike. You will hear water trickling from twentytwo creek through the forest in several locations along the way. The 1.5-mile trail, a combination of wide, flat, packed dirt and boardwalk crosses the Ohanapecosh River on a suspension bridge to take you through ancient towering Douglas fir and red cedar trees reaching heights up to 300 feet.
