Synology Hybrid RAID: Besonderheiten der Datenorganisation und Wiederherstellung. First experience using any type of NAS.
I have a DS-413 with 4 3TB drives. It seems to me that it would be better to setup a nightly backup of Drive A onto Drive B, rather than using the Synology Hybrid RAID. Recovery of a crashed volume on a Synology (), can be complicated if SHR is involved,I have a DS1010+ with all five drives composing a single SHR (Synology Hybrid Raid) volume. When I look at Storage Manager overview it shows the drives are set up with Synology Hybrid Raid (SHR) with data protection of 1 disk Fault-Tolerance. Once added, I see that it's now it's RAID Type: Hybrid Raid (SHR) (with data protection of 1 disk fault-tolerance). Drive #4 has a bad sector warning showing 2 bad sectors. I had a fan go bad … which seems to have corrupted the volume. Is the above possible ? As the title suggests, I wish to build and Xpenology box with a maximum available 24 drives, but also want to utilize the Synology Hybrid Raid option, so that I don't have to use the same amount of same sized disks etc. I added a new 4TB disc to my 2 Bay Synology (I had one 4TB already). This will be being used for offsite backup and wont contain any live data. Disk Information shows Storage Pool 1 warning (disk 4) 2 bad sectors. This way I'm not messing with any RAID tech, and have the ability to recover up to 24 hours of accidently deleted files from Drive A. Cách thức hoạt động: cơ chế hoạt động giống như SHR-1 như tính năng dự phòng được nâng lên làm 2 ổ đĩa giống RAID 6 truyền thống. Secondly, yes, but my NAS is a maximium of TWO drives. It spend 5 hours 'expanding'.
SHR will make use of the extra storage at the 2x4 + 2x8 scenario whereas RAID5 will not. Use the RAID calculator that Synology has to compare your scenario with RAID5 vs SHR. Synology Hybrid Raid 2 (SHR2) Điều kiện: có ít nhất 4 ổ đĩa.
